Dreamcatchers
We’re thrilled to introduce our latest product: The Antler Dreamcatcher, crafted by our sweet and talented Medley girls, Nya (age 8) and Irie (age 5). These little artisans spend their time carefully selecting caribou and deer antlers to create wonderful, unique dreamcatchers. It’s a delightful way to get the girls more involved, and they take great care to ensure each piece reflects their unique personalities.
The Dreamcatcher is one of the most fascinating traditions of Native Americans. The traditional dreamcatcher was intended to protect the sleeping individual from negative dreams, while letting positive dreams through. The positive dreams would slip through the hole in the center of the dreamcatcher and glide down the feather to the sleeping person below. The negative dream would get caught up in the web and expire when the first rays of the sun struck them.
